It Begins…

Deep underground in the bowels of some alien land, in caves long forgotten, below dark earth and jagged stones, a crack appeared and began to stretch. The ground rumbled. A gnarled, fist-sized rock tumbled from the ceiling, smashing down onto the belly of a boulder that hadn’t moved for over a millennia. From that cataclysmal act of destruction - a spark was born. And from that tiny ember of chaos - an idea was lit, then took the form of a revolutionary, life-changing thought… “Maybe it’s time I actually commit to being a voice actor.”

And thus it began.

Well, it was either voice acting or writing subpar fantasy novels. Yeah, no, that’s a lie, my attention span isn’t long enough to commit to a novel.

So voiceover it is!

Hello world, it’s me - Allison!

That little spark festered in me for far too long, and finally went BAM! big enough and loud enough that I could no longer ignore the feeling, nay, the knowledge I’ve had for decades that voice acting is my jam. Actually it was literally an earthquake but that’s a story for another blog. Maybe. Don’t get me wrong - it’s a great story and I’ll probably remember to tell it, it’s just that there’s also a big possibility that I’ll forget. I have a daily planner for a reason and that reason is a very low dice roll in memory retention.

So I figured I’d start up this bussin blog, not because I have expectations that anyone will read it (because if anyone did read this and saw me use the word ‘bussin,’ they would almost certainly stop reading), but because I want the SEO for this site to be as superfly as it can be so I need to consistently add around 500 words to the website every 2 weeks. Luckily for me, making words are easier than remembering things.

But the good news is that other than the voice acting itself, I don’t tend to take much of anything too seriously, much less a blog (hey - 2003 called, it wants its content trend back) so this ain’t gonna be your grandma’s blog! Unless my grandkids are reading the blog and in that case it would be their grandma’s blog but I have no kids much less grandkids so we’d be talking possible cataclysmic alternate time line bleed which may or may not lead to the ultimate destruction of space and time as we know it. Shit. That’s a lot of pressure for a silly little voiceover blog. I guess it’s up to me to save humanity… again. (Don’t ask. It’s a long story and I can’t tell it anyway - universes would fold and it would just be messy).

So get ready for all the great news and SEO keywords about Allison and her voice over acting talent for energetic, real and conversational commercials as well as her skills in dynamic, believable character roles for animation and video game voicing. Did we mention she had a neutral America accent but is capable of doing many other accents such as British, American Southern, Irish, Brooklyn, surfer and valley girl? That’s right folks! Where voiceover is in demand, Allison Cossitt voice actor is here for all of your voicey needs! (I don’t think the term “voicey” is often searched, but you never know.)

So there you have it. And by ‘it’ I mean ‘lost an important 3 minutes from your life you’ll never get back.”

Allison Cossitt: A voice actor you can trust to use keywords. Oh, and also do excellent voiceover work!
